Ostler’s stable

Room Description

This stable was used by the boatmen to rest their horses after a hard day’s work pulling the narrow-boats along the canal that marks the boundaries of Barchill Farm. From one window you will be able to see over to the woods where the canal winds past the marina towards the village. From another your eyes can skim across the wild-life pond to the meadows to rest on St. Mary’s church in the distance. The original arched opening to the stables leads out onto the cobbled courtyard where the abundant variety of herbs tumble over the paths below the pear trees and climbing roses. The scent is heady. Here, you can breakfast on your own terrace.

The bathroom includes a shower, heated towel rail; there is a t.v and coffee and tea-making facilities.
